| Biography:
Jeri Ryan.
Jeri Lynn Zimmerman was born on February 22, 1968 in Munich, Germany to
parents Sharon and Jeri Zimmerman. Jeri and her brother lived the childhoods
of typical army brats, moving from base to base throughout the country
before finally settling down in Paduch, Kentucky.
As men who are into babes and beer, there are certain TV shows that we
figured we'd never get into. Star Trek: Voyager and Boston Public are both
near the top of the list: high school drama and intergalactic dilemmas just
don't hold quite the same intrigue that a good shootout or car chase does.
But now Jeri Ryan has come along and converted us. All of a sudden, we're
not arguing with our girlfriends over the remote nearly as much as we used
to. And if there was ever an alien cyborg we'd consider getting between the
sheets with, Jeri would be it.
Following a string of mediocre TV movies (remember Coed Call Girl?), Jeri
Ryan became one of the most searched-for celebrities on the Internet thanks
to her role as the Borg Seven of Nine on Star Trek: Voyager in the second
half of the '90s. She landed an even larger audience with her role as sexy
teacher Ronnie Cook on Fox's Boston Public.
It can be tough defending an allegiance to Star Trek. Trekkers are called
childish and immature, nerds with no lives. Jeri Ryan's arrival on the
Voyager set gave them something to retaliate with, a reason for watching
that all men understood. |
