| Alana Soares (born February 21, 1964) hails from Redondo Beach in California and is perhaps best-known as a regular featured model of the internationally famous men's magazine "Playboy". She burst into the international sexy scene when "Playboy" chose her to be its Playmate for the month of March in 1983. This was soon followed by a string of appearances in various versions of the highly popular men's magazine, including Playboy Italy in August of the same year under the title "La Magnifica Spagnola"; "Playboy USA" which came out in April of 1985 where she posed under the title, "Playmate Sisters"; and the January 2000 edition of Playboy USA where she headlined "Centerfolds of the Century". In 1987, Alana tried to break away from her Playboy image when she appeared in the Eddie Murphy flick "Beverly Hills Cop II", where ironically, she played a cameo role as a Playboy Playmate alongside other models, including Leilani, her younger sister, who also happens to be a Playboy cover girl. Another movie she made was "Get Out of my Room", shot two years before "Beverly Hills Cop II". |
