| April 16, 1977, a model Alek Wek born in Southern Sudan. Her name also means Black Spotted Cow. At 1995, she starts doing some catwalks at age 18. Her folks went to Britain to relive from a war in Sudan and later move to United States. She was first knew when she was making the Golden eye music video by Tina Turner. At 1996, she was signed to ford models. She was also did Got ‘Til It’s Gone, music video by Janet Jackson. She’s the First African model to be on Elle’s magazine (1997). Wek also work for Stila in 2005. She had made many advertisements like Victoria’s secret, Clinique and walking on runways. In her walk for Christian Lacroix, she was a bride in different occasions. Her acting project was in The Four Feathers wherein she is a Sudanese princess. She also had makes hand bags named Wek 1933. |
