Alexandra Nelden is a German actress who sometimes gets credit in some of her works as Alexandra Neldel. She is not exactly popular outside of her native country, but in Germany, she is an award-winning TV performer, having been named as the 2006 Golden Rose Best Drama Actress for the German TV soap opera, "Verliebt in Berlin". A year before that, Alexandra bagged the 2005 Undine Award for Best Young Supporting Actress for her role in the film "Barfuss". Alexandra actually had a day job as a dental assistant before she realized that what she really wanted was to become an actress. The opportunity came her way in 1992 while watching a polo event. Seated next to her was the casting head of a then popular German soap opera "Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten". Apparently mesmerized by her beauty, the casting head immediately offered Alexandra a role in the said TV drama. It took four years before Alexandra said yes, and in 1996, she officially became a TV actress.
