| Amy Sedaris is a multi-talented artist. She is an actress, a comedianne, and a writer. Amy Sedaris was born on March 29, 1961 in Endicott, New York. She is the younger sister of author David Sedaris. Right now, she is based in Greenwich Village, and she has been part of many comedy groups and performances. She was part of the Second City and Annoyance Theatre groups. Along with her participation here, Amy Sedaris made her first television appearance in “Strangers with Candy,” which she wrote with Stephen Colbert and Paul Dinello. She crossed over to the big screen with roles in the movies “School of Rock,” “Elf,” “Maid in Manhattan” “Full Grown Men,” and “Bewitched. Amy Sedaris also helped write the “Wigfield,” again with Colbert and Dinello. She also an advice column which comes out once a month in “The Believer.” With brother David, she wrote several plays such as “Stump the Host,” “Stitches,” and “The Little Frieda Mysteries,” among others. |
