| Having parents who are both musically inclined---Diane Hurley and Robert Newkirk---Anastacia is a natural-born singer from Chicago, Illinois. Anastacia's adoloscent period was quite difficult, especially when her beloved father left them. Consequently, Anastacia, along with her family, moved to NYC where she found a new life. As a teenager, Anastacia enrolled in a Professional Children School, located somewhere in Manhattan. Though Anastacia was suffering from Crohn’s disease at age thirteen, she was still eager to learn to dance. Fortunately, the disease did not hinder her to become a star. As Anastacia's musical talents were being discovered, she was set to appear in TV shows as a guest, singing cover, or music video character. Soon, Anastacia had her first singing contract with famed Daylight Records and in 2000, she had her album entitled "Not that Kind." This amazing girl also became popular to many guys including Shawn Woods, Charles Ingram, and Patrice Bouédibéla. Today, Anastacia is happily engaged to Wayne Newton, her former British bodyguard, and plans to get married this year. |
