Cybill Shepherd bio
Golden Globe Award-winning actress, singer and model Cybill Lynne Shepherd was born on the 18th of February 1950. Cybill was from Memphis, Tennessee and won "Miss Memphis" in 1966 at just age 16 which resulted in various modeling stints. Cybill was spotted on a magazine cover and was given a role in her debut film "The Last Picture Show". Cybill has won four Golden Globes for the TV comedy series "Cybil" where she played as Cybill Sheridan and in "Moonlighting" where she played as Maddie Hayes opposite famous actor Bruce Willis. She also became famous for playing the character of Jacy in "The Last Picture Show", as Betsy in the classic film "Taxi Driver" and as Phyllis Kroll in the series "The L Word". Cybill decided to take a break from show business from 1978 to 1982, but was able to comeback starring as Colleen Champion in the critically acclaimed soap opera "The Yellow Rose". In 2000, Cybil's bestselling autobiography was published. In 2006, she started appearing on the TV drama "The L Word" starring alongside her daughter Clementine Ford from ex-husband David M. Ford.
