Drea De Matteo bio
Emmy Award-winning American actress and business woman Drea de Matteo's real name is Andrea Donna de Matteo and she was born on the 19th of January 1972. Drea grew up in Queens, New York, but moved to NYC where she owned East Village clothing shop with her best friend and her boyfriend at that time Michael Sportes. She came from a Catholic family, but still had the courage to come out as a bisexual in 2005. She really wanted to become a director and not an actress, but landing a role in "The Sopranos" launched her acting career. She eventually won an award for portraying the role of Adriana in that TV series. Drea also became famous for her role as Joey Tribbiani's sister Gina in "Joey". Drea also starred in several movies such as "Swordfish", "Prey for Rock & Roll", "The Perfect You", "Deuces Wild", the remake of "Assault on Precinct 13" and "R Xmas" by Abel Ferrara. Her fiance is Shooter Jennings who is the son of famous country legend Waylon Jennings. They have a daughter together named Alabama Gypsy Rose.
