Elizabeth Banks bio
American actress Elizabeth Banks was born as Elizabeth Maresal Mitchell on the 10th of February 1974 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Banks graduated magna cum laude at University of Pennsylvania in 1996 and finished her studies at the American Conservatory Theater in 1998. She changed her last name to Banks because there was already an actress named Elizabeth Mitchel. Banks acting career started when she did an independent film entitled "Surrender Dorothy" and also got a lot of exposure when she starred in the comedy flicks "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" and "Slither". She also starred in the movies "Definitely, Maybe", "Zack and Miri Make a Porno", "Wet Hot American Summer", "The Uninvited" and "Spider-Man". She is also famous for her role as Zach Braff's girl in the comedy TV series "Scrubs" as well as Alec Baldwin's love interest in the Emmy-winning sitcom "30 Rock". In 2003, Banks tied the knot with her college boyfriend Max Handelman who is also a sportswriter and producer.
