| Elle MacPherson (born March 29 1964) is a supermodel turned actress from New South Wales, Australia. She was discovered by an agent from Chick Model Management when she vacationed in Tasmania with her family. Elle's fame as a model started when she posed for the international magazine ELLE. She became the magazine's favorite that her pictures appeared in every issue of the magazine for six consecutive years. Soon, she posed for other famous magazines like Sports Illustrated. Her popularity as a supermodel made her to be featured in Time magazine in 1986. As if Elle MacPherson's fame as a model was mot enough, she penetrated the movie scene after appearing in the film Sirens with Hugh Grant and Sam Neill. She was also in the cast of Jane Eyre and If Lucy Fell. She also had five guest appearances in Friends, where she played the role of Janine Lecroix, Joey's girlfriend. |
