| Award winning French actress Elodie Bouchez-Bangalter was born on the 5th of April 1973 in Montreuil-sous-Bois, Seine-Saint-Denis, Ile-de-France, France. Elodie is famous for the award-winning André Téchiné film "Wild Reeds" which was released in 1994. She won a César Award's Most Promising Actress for this film. She also got the Best Actress Award for the film "La Vie rêvée des anges" at the Cannes Film Festival in 1998. In 1995, Elodie had her TV debut in the U.S. when she was asked to play the character of Renée Rienne in the American TV series "Alias". She only appeared in a few episodes although she was considered a main cast member. From "Alias", she jumped into the lesbian drama series "The L Word" to play the part of French writer Claude. Elodie is currently married to Thomas Bangalter of the electronic music duo Daft Punk and has two children together. They reside now in Beverly Hills, California. She also became the inspiration of songwriter David Mead when he wrote the song "Elodie". |
