| French actress, model and singer Emmanuelle Seigner was born on the 22nd of June 1966 in Paris, France. Seigner comes from a family of actors having respected actor Louis Seigner as her grandfather and actress Mathilde Seigner as her sister. At age 14, she started modeling and working for top international brands. She became more famous when she got married to Academy Award winning director Roman Polanski in 1989. In 1988, Polanski directed her in three movies: "Frantic", "Bitter Moon" and "The Ninth Gate". Seigner also became famous for her roles in the movie "The Diving Bell" and the "Butterfly" and was also nominated for two Cesar Awards for "Best Supporting Actress"in "Place Vendome" and "La Vie En Rose". Seigner was included in Jerzy Skolimowski's "Essential Killing", which won the Special Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival in 2010. From actress and model, she became a singer in 2006. Seigner was the lead singer of the pop rock band "Ultra Orange & Emmanuelle" and now lives in Paris with their two children. |
