Born on June 21, 1978 in Calgary, Canada to a truck driver, Joel, and librarian, Gail, Erica grew up with an older brother and sister on a turkey farm in Three Hills, Alberta in Canada. After school, she relocated to Vancouver to start her acting career. She was known as Erica Parker in her early movie and TV career. The reason is because of the fact that at age 18, she had been married before to her boyfriend of over a year. Erica and her first husband got divorced three years later. She had her first acting debut in 2002 in the horror movie "The Untold" also known as "Inexplicable" (Canada: French title) and "Sasquatch" (USA). Her other roles include "House of the Dead" in 2003 and the TV movie Devil Winds, also in 2003. She was cast as the young Lois Lane, Clark Kent's love interest, in the hit tv show Smallville in 2004. The role fits her perfectly. Her popularity among the fans made her star in 13 out of 22 episodes. Smallville brought her biggest exposure and celebrity status to date. Erica married actor David Palffy on January 8th 2005 after a three year relationship. The two met during the Stargate SG-1 filming. She and her husband bought a house in Vancouver, Canada where they are living and working now.
