Francesca Piccinini bio
Famous Italian volleyball player Francesca Piccinini was born on the 10th of January 1979. She hails from Massa Carrara, Tuscany, Italy and represented her country at the Summer Olympics three times. In 2002, she and her teammates of the Women's National Team won the gold medal at the World Championship in Germany. In 1995, she had her first game for Italy which was against the United States. Francesca was a big fan of the classic anime "Attack No. 1", which was shown on Italian TV in the 1980s under the title "Mimi e la nazionale della pallavolo". This show inspired her to become a professional volleyball player. She also appeared in the documentary about eight athletes' experience at the Olympics in Athens "M2A - Mission to Athens" in 2003 and guested in the comedy TV show "Quelli che... il calcio" in 2008. In 2004, Francesca flaunted her body doing a nude pictorial for the calendar of Italian magazine Men's Health.
