Gail Porter bio
Gail Porter was born on March 23, 1971 in Edinburgh, Scotland. She is sometimes known by her married name Gail Hipgrave. Porter is a British television presenter who became famous after presenting Fully Booked in 1990. Porter has presented family-friendly television shows, or ones directly aimed at children like 'The Movie Chart Show', 'Top of the Pops,' and 'Live & Kicking'. She now presents 'Dead Famous'. In the late '90s, she began posing in men's magazines like FHM and Loaded. She has been in FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the World list for four times (1999-2002), the highest rank at Number 8 in 1999. Her most famous photo which had her almost completely nude gained iconic status in 1999 when it was projected on the exterior of the Houses of Parliament together with the message “Vote Porter.” In August 2001, she married Toploader guitarist Dan Hipgrave but it ended in a separation in 2004. Porter is also a poster girl of sorts for the condition alopecia, which caused her to lose all her body hair as she would go out in public without any wig.
