|English actress Gemma Christina Arterton was born on the 12th of January 1986 in Gravesend, Kent, England. Gemma has one sister and was raised by their single mother on a council estate in Gravesend. Year 2007 was a good year for Gemma because that was the time that she got her first acting role in Stephen Poliakoff's "Capturing Mary" and at the same time had her stage debut in "Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost" in London before graduating later that year. Her film debut also happened in 2007 with St Trinian's movie. A year after that, she was chosen to be the new Bond girl in "Quantum of Solace". In 2009, she was critically-acclaimed for her role in the controversial film "The Disappearance of Alice Creed". In 2010, she starred in the UK premiere of "The Little Dog Laughed" as well as other popular films including "Clash of the Titans" and "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time". She is currently working on her new film "Burden of Desire". Gemma got married in 2010 to Stefano Catelli at a secret ceremony in Zuheros, Andalucia, Spain.||
