Gry Bay bio
Gry Wernberg Bay, a Danish film star and singer, was born on August 15, 1974 in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen, Denmark. Gry Bay is most known because of her sexually provocative role in the film 'All About Anna' in 2005. She had her breakthrough with a recurring role in Dr. Monika Lindt - Kinderärztin, Geliebte, Mutter, a German RTL TV series in 1996. Then she appeared in 'Hosenflattern' a German TV movie in 1998. She had her first starring roles in feature films in Denmark in the hiphop-comedy 'Slim Slam Slum a.k.a. Joystick Nation' (2002). She also composed some songs for the movie. She also starred in 'Exit' a sexy psychological film by David Noel Bourke in 2003. She made headlines by getting the title role in 'All About Anna', Zentropa's sexually explicit romantic comedy. She won the Scandinavian Adult Award as Best-Selling Scandinavian Star of 2006 for that movie. At the 2005 Venice Film Festival, Gry Bay appeared nude in Pipilotti Rist's video installation 'Homo sapiens sapiens'. She also appeared in 'Betonhjerter' in 2005 and 'Grønne hjerter' in 2006. In the 90´s, Gry Bay was in stage musicals 'West Side Story', 'Guys and Dolls', 'Grease', 'Crazy For You' and 'Me And My Girl'. She was lead singer for the band Crispy, aka XPY, and she tours the world as a Kid Creole and the Coconuts member.
