|Gwen Stefani, born on October 3, 1969, is an American singer and songwriter, a fashion designer, and an occasional actress. In 1992, Stefani made her debut as front woman for No Doubt, a third wave ska band. The band's album 'Tragic Kingdom' in 1995 drove them to fame, and it sold over fifteen million copies worldwide. The band's popularity went down with 'Return of Saturn' in 2000, but 'Rock Steady', which introduced reggae production into their music, was generally well-accepted in 2001. In 2004, Stefani had her first solo album 'Love. Angel. Music. Baby.' The album includes pop and dance tracks and influences from R&B and hip hop. Stefani received five 2005 Grammy Award nominations for "Album of the Year", "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance", "Best Pop Vocal Album", "Record of the Year" and "Best Rap/Sung Collaboration." 'The Sweet Escape' is Stefani's second solo album, released in 2006, featuring the single, "Wind It Up". Stefani starred as Jean Harlow in the film The Aviator (2004). She is also known as a trendsetter in fashion. In 2003, she introduced her own clothing line, L.A.M.B. Its products feature accessories, jackets and jeans. Stefani developed a long distance relationship with Bush member Gavin Rossdale after they met at a No Doubt concert in 1995. In 2002, the two were married, and in 2006, their son Kingston James McGregor Rossdale was born.||
