Jamelia bio
Multi-talented British singer Jamelia Niela Davis' date of birth is on the 11th of January 1981 and hails from Smethwick, England. Jamelia is well-known for her acappella style of music under the R&B genre, which can be heard in her three studio albums. Jamelia had eight singles that were included in the U.K. top ten and is a four-time winner at the MOBO Awards. She also had a Q Award and had nine nominations at the BRIT Award. She started her music career when she was just 18 years old releasing her debut single "So High" which didn't do that well. A year later, Jamelia released her second album "I Do" which became a big hit in the UK and Europe. She gained more fame when she released her third album Thank You" in 2003. This album includes the hit single "Superstar" which got her a MOBO award and a Q Award. Jamelia released "Walk With Me" in 2006, which featured the song "Popjustice". Jamelia is also known for her songs "Something About You", "Beware of the Dog" and "No More". She recently signed a contract with All Around the World will and will release her new album in January 2011.
