| British actress Jane Leeves was born on the 18th of April 1961 in Ilford, England, but later moved to East Grinstead. Jane started out as a ballet dancer and a model before she made her acting debut in the dark comedy "Monty Python's The Meaning of Life" and becoming a regular at "The Benny Hill Show" which prompted her to move to the United States. Jane also starred in the TV show "Murphy Brown". She is famous for her role as Daphne Moon on the TV sitcom "Frasier" for the entire run of the series. In 1999, Jane received an Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series SAG Award together with other cast members and had an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award nomination. She decided to work in television production before returning in front of the camera in 2010 as Joy on TV Land's original sitcom "Hot in Cleveland". Jane got married to CBS Paramount Television executive Marshall Coben in 1996 and they have two children. |
