|Twice a Tony awardee, this screen and stage actress in most remembered for her role in “Pride and Prejudice” as Elizabeth Bennet. Jennifer Ehle was born on December 29, 1969 in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Her mother is Rosemary Harris, an English actress, and this is why she spent most of her childhood years in the United Kingdom. She studied at the Central School of Speech and Drama, which is found in London, and while she was here, she was cast in “The Camomile Lawn,” a mini-series. After this, she got the role of Elizabeth Bennet, and her performance in the mini-series gave her a BAFTA. Jennifer Ehle also joined the Royal Shakespeare Company, and then she made her first major movie, “Paradise Road.” She then starred in “The Real Thing,” which gave her a Tony. Jennifer Ehle's upcoming projects include “Before the Rains,” “The Rusell Girl,” and “Pride and Glory.” These movies will all be released in 2008.||
