| Joan Taylor (born August 18, 1929) is a retired actress from Geneva, Illinois. Her love for entertainment was influenced by her parents; her mother was a singer and a dancer while her father was a movie theater manager. Joan, as a young girl, loved watching movies so much that she attended acting classes at the Pasadena Playhouse. Her debut film Fighting Man of the Plains was shown in 1949, which was followed by several western films such as The Savage and Off Limits. She was labeled as the Golden Circle Girl in the ‘50’s when she was working with Paramount Pictures. Apart from movie acting, Joan also appeared in some TV shows that include The Rifleman. However, she was more recognized as a TV actress in the programs Earth vs. the Flying Saucers and 20 Million Miles to Earth. Joan Taylor retired from the show business at the break of the ‘90s to write for both film and TV. |
