Julie Bowen bio
American actress Julie Bowen was born under the name Julia Bowen Luetkemeyer on the 3rd of March 1970 in Baltimore, Maryland. Julie's first acting debut was for the independent film "Five Spot Jewel" in 1992. After graduating from college, she made her debut on TV for the soap opera "Loving". A year after that, Julie appeared in the TV series "Class of '96" and "Acapulco H.E.A.T.". In 1994, she was asked to play the lead role in the TV movie "Runaway Daughters". Julie appeared in several films including "Happy Gilmore", "An American Werewolf in Paris" and "Multiplicity". While on TV, Julie did guest appearances in the series "Party of Five", "Strange Luck", "ER" and "Lost". Julie is famous for her role as attorney Denise Bauer in the TV drama "Boston Legal", as Carol Vassey in the hit comedy "Ed" and recently as Claire Dunphy in the sitcom "Modern Family" where she won was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in the 2010 Primetime Emmy Award. Julie got married in 2004 to real estate investor Scott Phillips and they have three children together.
