Juliette Binoche bio
Award-winning actress Juliette Binoche was born on the 9th of March 1964 in Paris, France. Binoche started acting at a young age doing several amateur stage productions. At age 17, she directed and starred in the stage play "Exit the King". She joined a theatre troupe and toured all over Europe using the pseudonym of "Juliette Adrienne". Binoche made her on screen debut in the TV movie "Dorothee, danseuse de corde" in 1983. She decided to pursue a career in cinema and starred in the French film "Rendez-vous" and "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" in 1988. Since then, Binoche has appeared in numerous films and won several awards such as Cesar Award for "Best Actress" and the Venice Film Festival for "Best Actress" for the movie "Three Colors: Blue" in 1993 and an Academy Award for "Best Supporting Actress" in the film "The English Patient" in 1996. She was the first actress to win three awards for "Best Actress" in the Cannes Film Festival. Binoche was famous for her roles in the movies "Damage", "Chocolat", "Cache", "The Flight of the Red Balloon" and "Certified Copy". Binoche has a son with professional scuba diver Andre Halle and a daughter with actor Benoit Magimel.
