ssAmerican actress Kathleen Erin Walsh or Kate for short was born on the 13th of October 1967. she was from San Jose, California, but grew up in Tucson, Arizona. Kate started out as a model in Japan where she taught English in 1980 before pursuing a career in acting. She moved to Chicago and New York City where she did several stage plays. Kate made her acting debut for TV in "Stakeout" and for film in the crime drama "Normal Life". A year after that, she had her first major role in the sitcom "The Drew Carey Show". She continued to make appearances on TV including "The Norm Show", "The Mind of the Married Man" as well as "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation". Kate is famous for her role as Addison Montgomery in the hit TV series "Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice". In 2005, Kate had her first leading role in the comedy "Kicking & Screaming" alongside Will Ferrell. She also appeared in several films such as "Under the Tuscan Sun", "Wake Up Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie", "Bewitched" and "1408". She recently starred in the biblical horror film "Legion". In 2007, Kate got married to movie executive Alex Young, but filed a divorce after 15 months of marriage.
