|Award-winning American actress Mary Kathleen Turner's date of birth is on the 19th of June 1954. She hails from Springfield, Missouri. Turner's first appearance on TV was in the daytime soap opera "The Doctors" in 1978. Her on screen debut was in 1981 when she starred as Matty Walker in the thriller "Body Heat" which gave her instant fame. In 1984, Turner starred in the high-grossing film "Romancing the Stone" with Michael Douglas and Danny DeVito where she won a Golden Globe award. A year after that, she did the sequel of the movie "The Jewel of the Nile". In 1989, she joined Douglas and DeVito again in the blockbuster comedy "The War of the Roses" where she got a Golden Globe nomination. Since then, she appeared in several films including the comedy "The Man With Two Brains", "Prizzi's Honor" where she won her second Golden Globe award and in "Peggy Sue Got Married" where she was nominated for Best Actress in the 1986 Academy Awards. Turner also did the voice for Jessica Rabbit in the 1988 animated film "Who Framed Roger Rabbit". She was also featured in the Falco song "The Kiss of Kathleen Turner" in 1986. In 1984, Turner got married to real estate entrepreneur Jay Weiss and they have one daughter together.||
