Laura Antonelli bio
Laura Antonaz, more commonly known as Laura Antonelli, was an illustrious Italian actress until she decided to retire in 1991. She was born on November 28, 1941 in Istria, Croatia. From the years she was active in 1965 until her retirement in 1991, Antonelli was able to star in forty five movies. Before becoming an actress, she was educated as a physical education teacher. Her debut came in the form of a Coca Cola commercial in 1965, as well as her first feature film (Le Sedicenni), also in 1965. Most of the films she appeared in were comedic and mockumentaries. However, she also played more serious roles, particularly in the film “The Innocent” in 1976. Antonelli earned the David di Donatello (Italian Academy Awards) in 1973 and 1981 for her film roles. During the time of her retirement, she was convicted for possession of cocaine in her home. It took ten years before the sentence was lifted.
