Laura Gemser bio
Laura Gemser, full name Laurette Marcia Laura Gemser, is a Dutch actress who is of Indonesian ancestry. She was born on October 5, 1950 in Java, Indonesia. She was only four years old when her parents decided to transfer from Indonesia to the Netherlands. It was in the Netherlands were Gemser obtained her high school diploma and her bachelor’s degree in fashion study. Before pursuing an acting career, Gemser entered the modeling scene, primarily because of her love for fashion and costume art. She appeared in numerous Dutch and Belgian magazines. She began taking on roles in adult films and soft porn. She was critically acclaimed for the Black Emanuelle Series. However, Gemser proved to be a talented actress when she collaborated with Joe D’Amato and Bruno Mattei in the 1983 film, “Love Is Forever”. This film made its way into American television and since then, Gemser’s role as refugee Moira Chen skyrocketed the actress into fame.
