Linda is credited as having been the model who began the fashion "union," which fought for higher wages and better benefits for the models who worked the runways of the high fashion industry. Apart from those, Evangelista is best remembered for two incredible things. First, her stunning good look, which is a product of her Italian heritage. Second, she gained popularity (as well as an incredible and expansive following) because of her ever-changing hairstyles. Her first change of style came when she cut her long, golder strands and turned them into a boyish, very masculine cut. While it forced designers to cancel her appearances on the runway for several months afterwards, it was also just first of the nine different hairstyles she'd sport throughout her illustrious modeling career.
