Some actresses actively pursued their careers. Some actresses felt that they had the movie star life shoved down their throats. Others, like the luscious Lisa Faulkner, simply stumbled upon it one day. Her career began in earnest when a modeling scout saw her in one of London's underground train stations. That was the beginning of one of the most successful teenage modeling careers in British history. However, she started acting a little later, in the film "The Lover," in 1993. After that, her roles came as regular or guest characters for a number of notable British TV series. One notable role, for the crime-drama "Spooks," featured one of the most gruesome and controversial deaths of a fictional character on British TV. Up until that point, Faulkner's role was actually quite popular with the fans, even if she only lasted into the second aired episode of season one. In fact, getting killed (murdered or otherwise) seems to be a consistent mark of the characters she's portrayed, such as "Holby City" character Dr. Victoria Merrick.
