Marg Helgenberger bio
Celebrities from humble beginnings tend to possess a stable head between their shoulders. Such is the case with Marg Helgenberger, who began her public career as little more than a weather girl. After being spotted during a theater performance of Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew," Marg was quickly cast into a TV role. While two other actresses in playing the part of Siobhan Ryan Novak in the series “Ryan’s Hope" preceded her, she is arguably the Siobhan that fans of the show will most often remember. As such, the part is often seen as her trademark character. Later on, she gained another prominent part in the TV drama "China Beach," which was set during the turmoil of the Vietnam War. In a rare occurrence, the Nebraska town she grew up in renamed one of their streets after her as a sign of pride at what she has achieved in her career. She has recently become a regular cast member in Jerry Bruckheimer's creation, "CSI."
