| Mayra Veronica, daughter of the world-renowned Arturo, developed her talent by following her father’s footsteps in the arts. Arturo was a vocalist for Los Dada, a popular band in Cuba. Like other Cubans who want to try luck in the US, Mayra’s family migrated to this country where she started her theater career. In college, she took some theater classes and in New York, she further developed her craft. Years after, she lived in Miami where she got her big break by being a host for “Hollywood Previews” and “Miami Hoy,” both of which are celebrity programs. She was later discovered by producers and began an acting project for the film “The Suitor.” However, her modeling stint in FHM in 2003 became her ultimate ticket to international fame. A year after her first men’s magazine project, Mayra was included in FHM’s Top 100 Sexiest Women in the World, which motivated her to give up her hosting career. So since then, she has focused on modeling and worked on various projects for L’Oreal, Burger King, Coca-Cola, Allstate Cemented, and Colgate. Today, Mayra Veronica is a very well-known Latina endorser. |
