| Mimi Macpherson is a television presenter and a business woman. She also happens to be the sister of supermodel Elle Macpherson. Her real name is Miriam Gow. Her aunt, Mimi Dickson, is also a recognized model. Before becoming a successful business woman, Mimi spent most of her time whale-watching and cleaning toilets for her stepfather, Neil Macpherson’s whale-watching business. While working there, her love for the wildlife and ocean life grew. When her stepfather’s whale-watching went out of business, Mimi decided to build her own whale-waching business. Since starting this enterprise, Macpherson has received numerous awards for tourism. Her mother even resigned from her marketing job to work for Mimi. She was most proud when she finally received Executive Woman of the Year Award in 1997 from the Australian Women’s Network. Macpherson currently works as a regular presenter and host for the Discovery Channel. She also graced the cover of the elite Cosmopolitan magazine for their issue on successful business women. |
