Nikki Reed is an American actress and screenwriter, popular for her role in 'Lords of Dogtown,' and for having co-written the 2003 flick 'Thirteen.' Born on May 17, 1988, in West Los Angeles, California, Reed is of Italian/Jewish descent and was raised having no religion. At age 2, her parents divorced ahd grew up with her mom. At 14, she was on her own. Reed is among those behind the success of the 2003 film 'Thirteen,' collaborating with director Catherine Hardwicke on the script in just six days. The movie, which she also stars in alongside Evan Rachel Wood, received critical acclaim, earning Reed the recognition as an actress and screenwriter. This was followed up by notable roles in 'Man of God,' 'Lords of Dogtown,' 'Mini's First Time,' 'Cherry Crush,' 'Twilight' and its sequel 'New Moon.' She also co-starred with Hollywood stars Bruce Willis, Malin Akerman and Forest Whitaker in the action flick Catch.44.
