Paula Abdul bio
Paula Abdul is an American singer/dancer chreographer. TV celebrity, record producer among others. Born on June 19, 1962, in San Fernando, California, Abdul trained early as a child in ballet, Tap, and Jazz. She landed a part in the 1978 Junior High School, a low-budget Independent musical film. Abdul was a cheerleader for LA Lakers in the 80's, and a recognized choreographer before rising to stardom as a pop singer with six number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100, winning a Grammy for Best Music Video for 'Opposites Attract'. She also won the 'Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Choreography' twice. She disappeared from the limelight for a long period following her success, but would make a comeback in 2000, when she became a judge alongside Simon Cowell in 'American Idol,' for eight years. She also had other TV shows and is working on a new album. She was formerly married to Emilio Estevez.
