Shirley Manson bio
She's recognized for her flaming red hair, her pale complexion, and of course, her milky and hypnotic voice. She's Shirley Manson, the vocalist of Garbage. Shirley Manson was born on August 26, 1996 in Edinburgh, Scotland, and she's had a quite a career in music. She began singing with bands in the eighties, and her first act was with Goodbye Mr. Mackenzie. For this group, she did the keyboards and backing vocals. But Shirley Manson is a certified star, and she deserved more than a back-up role, so she worked with the band Angelfish on the side, as vocalist. Her stay with this group eventually led her to join Garbage, and she was seen by the group in a music video that aired on MTV. With Garbage, she made 5 albums: Garbage, Version 2.0, beautifulgarbage, Bleed Like Me, and Absolute Garbage. With the band on hiatus, Shirley Manson is also set to release her solo album in May of 2008.
