Having been born on the 13th of May, 1981, this Ontario, Canada native and her family would move to Southern California in the year 1996. Sunny didn't care much for the change in scenery, but she made the best of a bad situation and persevered in school, graduating from secondary school in 1999. She then enrolled in a local junior college, and while studying for a career as a registered nurse, a friend suggested that she try her luck at modeling.

With her natural beauty, she soon became a magnet for various projects, and was offered a chance to pose as an adult model. Although a bit nervous of posing nude at first, her curiosity would soon win her over and she began modeling as an adult talent, becoming a well sought after model in the industry.

Sunny Leone would begin her meteoric rise to the top of the adult entertainment world when she was chosen as Penthouse Magazine's Pet of the Month for March of 2001.
